The Final Countdown

Jake with a little fentanyl!
So we are now in the final days of Jake's pre-mission life.  Today Jake had a minor ear surgery to repair a burst ear drum.  He messed up his ear on Monday at some friends house where he was jumping off their diving board doing flips and whatnot.  The surgery went well and he is ship shape for his mission.

He'll be set apart early next week and then onto a plane from Boise to SLC on Wednesday morning (early).  This Saturday we are going to do some last "hoorah" for Jake still to be determined.  Last Sunday we talked with a guy that got back from his mission in Nicaragua a year or so ago and got a lot of our questions answered.  We now all feel much better about where he is going to be spending the next part of his life.  We also had family pictures taken last night, which we'll post once we get copies.  Overall, everyone is in pretty good spirits and really ready to get this off the ground!
